This week we had the terrible news of the attack at the Manchester Arena in the U.K. I have spent a lot of time in the U.K. where I have family and close friends. These attacks are meant to be horrifying. The perpetrators pick concerts and similar locations because they represent a kind of personal freedom that they despise. I will be traveling to the U.K. again soon I hope. To the victims’ families and the people of Manchester and the U.K., you are in my thoughts. To those who would commit such evil, we will not let you take our freedom. This Memorial Day, let us not only remember our brave servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to give us freedom, but those who have been killed by criminals who hate it.
