Phil's Tidbits :   Importance of DOB

When submitting a request always be sure to include the full date of birth. Without a DOB there is a very high possibility that there will be multiple name matches and we will need to request the date of birth in order to continue the search.

Providing the date of birth up front will result in a quicker turn around time.

Philadelphia County Court

Obtaining physical files from the Philadelphia County Court has proven to be quite challenging in recent months. The primary reason is the significant increase in volume as more and more background checks are performed and the increased amount of work flows into the courthouse on a daily basis. The clerks have an abundance of requests to process every day from researchers, the DA’s office, judges, court staff, probation, and individuals all seeking files and record information.

Aside from the massive amounts of requests, the courthouse is also dealing with a staffing shortage largely caused by budgetary restraints. There are not enough clerks to handle the increased volume. The court administration recognizes the problems and are working to improve the situation. They have also been working with researchers to develop more efficient ways of requesting and providing physical court files to help with the workflow.

Vendor-Net

To help utilize our cutting edge knowledge and improve our operating efficiencies, County House Research is proud to announce the installation of the Vendor-Net application to our services. Vendor-Net is a web-based solution created to work with the Flexible Research System (FRS) that will link our courthouse researchers directly into our office. They will be able to retrieve research assignments as well as update results on-line through an industry acceptable, secure web site.

Communication is the key to success in every business. With the use of this system, we believe it will allow a constant flow of communication with our researchers, resulting in quicker turnaround time for our clients. So how does this seamless integration with FRS work? The assigned search orders are automatically delivered to our website according to the coverage assignments that we maintain within our FRS database system. The results of our researchers’ investigations are then keyed in for us, and electronically retrieved back into our office. With a single click, our vendors can email the office with information or questions they may have regarding any search assignments we have delivered to them and where appropriate, forward the question directly to our client.

In addition to sending and receiving information, Vendor-Net offers a Volume/Turnaround Report, enabling each of our researchers to track their performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This emphasizes the importance we place on prompt turnaround on all work performed for us.

Vendor-Net is our way of serving our clients and researchers with the most advanced tools needed to maintain our position as a leading provider of courthouse performed criminal background searches.
