Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence!
County House Research Inc.

We are back and fully recovered from the Annual Pre-Employment Screeners Conference in Clearwater, Florida. It was wonderful to be able to reconnect with old friends and colleagues; it was especially gratifying to see so many new faces. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table, attended the Wednesday panel in which I participated, or otherwise said hi.

With the holidays here, I want to wish all our clients and colleagues season's greetings and a very happy and prosperous New Year.

It is holiday time, a time to reflect and give thanks. I am especially grateful for our dedicated team of researchers who tirelessly pore over dockets to get us the answers we need in the timeliest way possible. It is our researchers' expertise and professionalism that help set County House Research apart.

Can you imagine making an annual contribution to shop at your local bookstore? That is exactly what some Northern California residents have done to keep their favorite independent bookseller, Kepler's, in business (Marketplace, Nov. 21, 2006). Customers like the personalized approach taken by Kepler's staff and the emphasis Kepler's places on service. When the store closed briefly, customers stepped in. Membership at Kepler's is not your standard affinity program; there are perks, but the program is really more of an investment. The program also reinforces cutomers' shopping habits. They are more likely to buy books at their local independent bookstore if they feel connected and well cared for.

Can the relationship that Kepler's has with its cutomers be duplicated? Yes. Companies that dedicate themselves to exceptional customer service will reap the ultimate business reward: loyalty.
