Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence!
County House Research Inc.

When I first started in this industry it was common knowledge that the holiday hiring season was the the busiest time of year for background screening. Ten years of statistics have taught me otherwise. The holiday season is busy, but the summer hiring season is busier. With May here, County House Research is gearing up for the summer rush. We want to assure all our clients that we will do whatever it takes to make this hiring season as painless as possible.

GPS-First launched in 1978, the Global Positioning System is the world's only fully functioning global navigation satellite system. GPS receivers find their position by calculating the distance to three or more GPS satellites. Though increasingly popular with consumers, GPS has become an essential business tool, particularly in transportation, land surveying, map making, and logistics.

A recent report in USA Today (May 18, 2007, B1) notes that this year's college graduates face one of the best job markets in recent memory, with companies offering all manner of incentives to lure the best new hires. The report quotes a National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) study that estimates a 20% increase in hires of new college graduates. The study also estimates an increase in starting salaries, especially for graduates with degrees related to business and engineering.

While this is great news for college graduates (and their parents), it represents a challenge for anyone looking to find the best new hires. Credit Reporting Agencies can help businesses overcome this challenge. As the labor market tightens, CRAs need to remind employers that pre-employment screening is still the the best and most cost-effective way to identify top hires.
